Base Salary

$128k - $209k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high-fidelity simulation models for cameras, LiDAR, radar, GNSS, and IMU sensors.
  • Define sensor fidelity requirements, performance metrics, acceptance criteria, and validation methodologies.
  • Model realistic sensor noise, distortion, motion blur, occlusions, range limitations, environmental interference, and calibration effects.
  • Develop NVIDIA Omniverse Kit extensions, OpenUSD tools, reusable sensor frameworks, and enterprise-scale simulation workflows.
  • Compare simulated sensor outputs with real-world datasets, identify simulation-to-reality gaps, and drive model improvements.
  • Create simulation scenarios and synthetic data pipelines supporting perception, autonomy, sensor fusion, localization, object detection, tracking, and environmental perception.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, architecture guidance, roadmap input, and evaluation of emerging sensor simulation technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in sensor development, simulation, robotics, autonomy, perception systems, or related fields.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and C++.
  • Hands-on experience with NVIDIA Omniverse, Isaac Sim, OpenUSD, or similar simulation platforms.
  • Strong understanding of sensor physics and perception systems, including experience modeling one or more sensor types.
  • Experience validating simulation results against physical system data and using simulation-based testing methodologies.
  • Knowledge of robotics, computer vision, autonomy, perception, machine learning systems, 3D graphics, rendering, and physically based simulation.
  • Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree or Ph.D., 8+ years of relevant experience, advanced NVIDIA Omniverse, Isaac Sim, RTX rendering, and OpenUSD expertise, and experience with autonomous vehicles, industrial robotics, digital twins, ROS/ROS2, Isaac ROS, or synthetic data pipelines.
