Responsibilities

  • Define, refine, and deliver the product backlog in collaboration with the Product Owner.
  • Design, document, implement, refactor, debug, and maintain C# software solutions.
  • Develop unit tests, test frameworks, automated test cases, and GUI test automation.
  • Review code and address defects, performance bottlenecks, technical debt, and test coverage gaps.
  • Coordinate day-to-day development and bug-fixing activities.
  • Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
  • Mentor junior team members and take a lead role in selected development activities.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in C# and .NET software development.
  • Experience across the full software development lifecycle in a commercial or production environment.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented design, design patterns, SOLID principles, Agile, and Extreme Programming methodologies.
  • Experience with IDEs, version control, test automation, continuous integration, and defect or backlog management systems.
  • Ability to design high-performance, scalable, extensible, testable, debuggable, and maintainable software architectures.
  • GUI design and implementation experience with frameworks such as WPF or WinForms.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, unit testing, and GUI test automation frameworks such as MS Test.
  • Knowledge of Azure and cloud technologies, software reliability, maintainability, usability, and performance.
  • Passion for mathematics, statistics, and complex algorithms, plus general knowledge of the insurance industry.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a relevant discipline.
  • Interest in using AI-powered tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve development productivity and code quality.
