Responsibilities
- Design secure and scalable solutions with engineering and platform teams and conduct architecture and security design reviews.
- Lead threat modeling using STRIDE, PASTA, and ATT&CK-based approaches across applications, cloud platforms, APIs, and AI systems.
- Embed application security and secure coding practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Review SAST, DAST, SCA, penetration testing, and code review findings and drive remediation.
- Provide strategic oversight for WAFs, API gateways, bot mitigation, DDoS protection, and CDN security controls.
- Oversee vulnerability management, penetration testing, attack surface reduction, and security risk prioritization.
- Advise on security incidents, including containment, investigation, root cause analysis, remediation, and post-incident improvements.
- Design security controls and guardrails for AI/ML platforms and applications.
- Advise engineering, product, and platform teams; mentor practitioners; and influence security strategy and roadmap development.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity, application security, or penetration testing.
- Strong understanding of modern application architectures and distributed systems.
- Expertise in security architecture, secure design reviews, threat modeling, application security, and secure SDLC practices.
- Experience with cloud security across GCP or AWS, Kubernetes and container security, API security, identity and access management, security automation, DevSecOps, vulnerability management, and penetration testing.
- Understanding of AI/ML security concepts, emerging AI threats, OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications, and AI security frameworks.
- Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and provide architectural security guidance.
