Base Salary

$138k - $266k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable infrastructure supporting data science and decision support applications.
  • Build and maintain deployment pipelines and automate operational workflows, infrastructure provisioning, and configuration management.
  • Administer and troubleshoot Linux systems, networking, DNS, firewalls, and common network protocols.
  • Own platform reliability, security posture, observability, and delivery velocity.
  • Design and document infrastructure reference patterns in an environment with limited centralized platform support.
  • Collaborate with development, data science, and security teams and communicate infrastructure and security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Security, or a related field, with 4+ years of industry or post-university experience.
  • 3+ years of experience administering and troubleshooting Linux-based operating systems, networking fundamentals, DNS, firewalls, and common network protocols.
  • 3+ years of experience using Python and/or Bash for automation, operational workflows, and API integrations, including reading and troubleshooting application code.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • 2+ years of experience with container technologies such as Docker and container packaging and deployment concepts.
  • 2+ years of experience with CI/CD automation platforms such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
  • 3+ years of experience using Git for source control and collaborative development workflows.
  • 2+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, OpenTofu, Pulumi, or Ansible.
  • Preferred qualifications include Kubernetes-native workflow orchestration, CI/CD pipeline design, Terraform, infrastructure and IaC security scanning, image signing, vulnerability remediation, observability platforms, FastAPI or Flask, databases, and Azure storage.
  • Preferred education and experience include a master’s degree with at least 3+ years of relevant experience or a PhD with 2+ years of experience.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills and advanced English proficiency are preferred.
