Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and execute software code and associated unit tests.
- Support software functional qualification testing and system or component qualification testing.
- Maintain cybersecurity, interface requirements, and specifications.
- Maintain formal software requirements documentation.
- Support system and component logistics documentation, including technical manuals, ship system manuals, and operating instructions.
- Develop written correspondence, technical papers, and presentations for Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA).
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering degree with an electrical, computer, or software concentration.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.
- 0–5 years of relevant post-graduate engineering experience.
- Preferred experience includes working in a Linux environment, prior Navy experience, and Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLCs.
- Preferred proficiency with C/C++, Java, SQL, and/or PLC ladder logic.
- Preferred familiarity with software development lifecycle practices, hardened applications, military system or component development for naval platforms, JIRA, GitLab, microservice software architecture, project management, systems engineering, configuration management, Microsoft Project, and DOORS.
