Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Develop models of sensors, actuators, vehicle dynamics, and other space-system components for software-in-the-loop, hardware-in-the-loop, and emulator-based simulators.
- Test and analyze embedded software in launch vehicles, spacecraft, CubeSats, and other mission-critical space-system components.
- Develop and maintain simulations supporting software validation, on-orbit anomaly resolution, and day-of-launch mission assurance.
- Develop tools and techniques to improve analysis and simulation capabilities.
- Coordinate with internal and external organizations and collaborate in a team environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related discipline, either pursuing or conferred within the last 12 months.
- Prior internship at The Aerospace Corporation.
- 0–1 year of industry work experience.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA and experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Programming background or experience in one or more of C, C++, and Python.
- Relevant project experience or coursework in embedded systems, space-systems design, dynamics, control systems, control algorithm design, or modeling and simulation.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required for clearance eligibility.
- Preferred qualifications include a GPA of 3.5 or higher, experience designing, developing, or testing real-time embedded software, familiarity with launch-vehicle or satellite flight computers, software development processes and tools, Linux/Unix systems, and the Atlassian tool suite including JIRA, Bitbucket, and Confluence.
