Responsibilities
- Design and develop manufacturing test systems, procedures, plans, cases, and scripts for server, storage, networking, and PCIe hardware.
- Create, validate, release, sustain, and maintain automated manufacturing test software and infrastructure for L10 server and L11 rack testing.
- Control test equipment, collect and analyze test data, generate reports, and document procedures, specifications, troubleshooting guidance, and infrastructure.
- Execute NPI test commands, collect logs, document symptoms, and report findings to test program management and engineering teams.
- Manage and deploy firmware, driver, software updates, and patches to maintain system stability and security.
- Collaborate with test, manufacturing, failure analysis, networking, and software engineering teams across multiple sites and cultures.
- Support rotating weekend and night shifts during NPI manufacturing test validation when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field plus 5+ years of relevant experience, or a master's degree plus 3 years of experience.
- Proficiency with Python, Linux commands, and Bash scripting, including Linux-based tools for data collection and analysis.
- Experience managing and deploying hardware firmware, drivers, software updates, and patches.
- Experience with hardware and APIs for controlling, managing, and stressing servers, networking equipment, and storage devices.
- Familiarity with IPMI, Redfish, mprime, FIO, Linpack, ptugen, and memtester.
- Experience with enterprise Ethernet datacenter switching and routing, including BGP, DHCP Relay, ECMP, and L1/L2/L3 networking.
- Knowledge of software engineering lifecycle practices including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Familiarity with VMware virtual machines, DHCP, PXE boot, nginx, network virtualization, SDN, and GitLab.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, written and verbal communication, independent work, and teamwork skills.
- Experience working in multi-site and multicultural environments; knowledge of AI integration in programming and system applications is a plus.
