Responsibilities
- Lead the conception, development, and delivery of the Infor Varial Payroll solution.
- Ensure reliable, continuously updated, and legally compliant German payroll functionality.
- Develop integrated payroll, personnel administration, employee self-service, and digital HR-management capabilities.
- Write clean, efficient, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
- Contribute to architecture decisions and technical-roadmap planning.
- Improve software performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Collaborate with Product Management, UX Design, and Quality Assurance.
- Mentor, coach, and support less experienced software developers.
Requirements
- Experience with German payroll legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Experience developing payroll, HR, or other business-critical enterprise applications.
- Understanding of German payroll processes, tax rules, social-security requirements, and statutory reporting obligations.
- Knowledge of German payroll reporting and electronic communication procedures with social-security institutions, tax authorities, and other public bodies.
- Experience with relevant programming languages and technologies such as Java, Vaadin, C++, and SQL.
- Solid software-development and business-application design experience.
- Experience with agile development methods and CI/CD practices.
- Experience with DevOps toolchains and practices is desirable.
- Mentoring, coaching, and professional development experience for software developers is desirable.
