Responsibilities
- Architect, upgrade, design, and build scalable infrastructure using Kubernetes, AWS, RDS, and distributed systems patterns.
- Drive infrastructure roadmap initiatives focused on reliability, recoverability, scalability, capacity planning, benchmarking, and stress testing.
- Define and enforce SLAs, alerts, anomaly detection, observability, and operational standards across infrastructure.
- Improve distributed microservices consistency, performance, security, CI/CD, and reliability.
- Lead AI enablement efforts applying AI and automation to infrastructure reliability, developer productivity, and internal tooling.
- Mentor engineers, influence technical direction, and translate business goals into technical roadmaps.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering or infrastructure engineering experience, including significant SRE and backend experience.
- Recent experience deploying significant production application or infrastructure changes within the past 30 days.
- Strong proficiency in Golang and experience building and maintaining commercial APIs.
- Expertise with MySQL or PostgreSQL, including schema and query optimization at scale.
- Proficiency with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, and New Relic.
- Understanding of distributed systems patterns including transactional outbox, event-driven architecture, stream processing, and queues.
- Required experience working with Claude or equivalent large language model tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Preferred experience includes AWS cloud infrastructure, Aurora RDS, data engineering, data pipelines, data warehousing, Kubernetes-based containerized microservices, CI/CD, and AI developer tooling such as Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Codex, and Cursor.
