Responsibilities
- Build and maintain complex frontend interfaces and single-page applications for Find My.
- Own frontend work from early design conversations through production.
- Collaborate with designers and product managers to turn requirements into usable interfaces.
- Work closely with backend engineers and manage service dependencies without compromising quality.
- Implement state management, data-heavy views, code splitting, lazy loading, and rendering-performance improvements.
- Reason about failure, latency, and partial data as UI states when consuming APIs.
- Test shipped work and contribute to CI/CD tooling and full automation testing.
- Communicate technical decisions through design documents, discussions, and cross-team collaboration.
Requirements
- Production experience shipping software to real users, with depth of experience prioritized over a specific number of years.
- Deep knowledge of JavaScript, including the event loop, asynchronous semantics, modules, memory, and browser rendering behavior.
- Professional experience with React, TypeScript, and modern CSS.
- Strong user experience and interaction-design judgment.
- Experience debugging issues on real devices, slow networks, or under substantial real-world data volumes.
- Experience building and maintaining complex single-page applications with state management, data-heavy views, and frontend performance optimization.
- Familiarity with modern web capabilities such as WASM, WebGPU, and canvas rendering is preferred.
- Familiarity with the browser security model, accessibility, Java, CI/CD tooling, and automated testing is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical decisions and write clear design documents.
- Ability to collaborate across teams and time zones and work effectively in an ambiguous, highly interdependent environment.
