Base Salary
$135k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Deliver container runtime capabilities for new cloud, on-premises, and edge environments
- Build automation and operating standards for securely managing Kubernetes at scale with zero manual operations overhead
- Adopt novel Kubernetes features and CNCF tools and make upstream contributions as needed
- Design the next generation of Palantir’s infrastructure based on internal systems and CNCF standards
- Ensure scale, stability, security, observability, and operational excellence across diverse compliance regimes and hosting environments
- Develop automation and self-healing systems that preempt production issues and support deep root-cause analysis
Requirements
- At least 4 years of professional software development experience focused on core infrastructure and operational excellence
- At least 2 years contributing to system design or architecture, including reliability and scaling
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Strong systems programming proficiency in Go, C, C++, or equivalent
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Kubernetes operators
- Competent coding in Go or Java for automation and scripting
- Deep familiarity with hardware and operating system configurations, diagnostic tooling, and networking fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes at scale
- Experience with AWS, Azure, Google Compute Engine, or systems administration/SRE work in data centers
- Experience designing, building, and operating high-scale observability or infrastructure systems
- Experience with CNIs or cloud networking infrastructure is preferred
