Base Salary
$197k - $280k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the technical partner journey for priority B2B plugins from pitch to ongoing maintenance.
- Identify strong plugin use cases and define user journeys to create meaningful value.
- Write production and sample code, build prototypes, and create technical guidance.
- Debug API contracts and user experience issues across partner and OpenAI systems.
- Review partner architectures for API design, data handling, and long-term maintainability.
- Contribute improvements to ChatGPT, Codex, and the plugins platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth partner launches.
- Provide structured feedback from partners to inform product and engineering.
Requirements
- 4-6 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Experience building and operating production APIs and backend services.
- Strong product sense to distinguish between functional and genuinely useful plugins.
- Excellent communication skills with external engineers and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to turn ambiguous ideas into concrete prototypes and technical specs.
- Comfortable debugging distributed systems and making targeted platform changes.
- Commitment to user trust, privacy, and product quality in AI experiences.
