Responsibilities
- Ensure technical consistency, portability, and adherence to architectural standards across AI solutions.
- Establish scalable, reliable, secure, and trustworthy data and technology foundations with data, IT, and business stakeholders.
- Advise on AI solution design and target architecture, including build-versus-buy decisions, models, vector stores, and orchestration frameworks.
- Embed security, data privacy, GDPR, and EU AI Act requirements into reference architectures.
- Draft technical specifications, track development progress, and oversee acceptance testing.
- Oversee the integration, management, and scaling of AI systems across data, IT, and business functions.
- Define production monitoring, cost control, reliability, model update, and dependency-management standards.
- Participate in or lead technical governance forums, document architectural decisions, and identify technical risks with mitigation strategies.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience in software engineering, data/ML engineering, cloud engineering, or IT architecture.
- Hands-on experience designing cloud-based systems that run in production.
- Experience building or contributing to an LLM-based solution involving RAG, agents, or orchestration frameworks.
- Understanding of model serving, data pipelines, and vector databases.
- Daily use of AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor.
- Experience contributing to architectural standards and reference architectures and reviewing or challenging technical decisions.
- Experience with at least one major cloud provider: Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Solid software development skills, with Python preferred, and the ability to read and review code.
- Fluent English communication skills and the ability to explain technical constraints and risks to business and project stakeholders.
- Preferred experience with Azure, Databricks, Terraform, Bicep, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Preferred experience in data warehousing, data lakes, lakehouses, data governance, data frameworks, LLMOps, evaluation, guardrails, prompt and model versioning, monitoring, security principles, AI governance, GDPR, and the EU AI Act.
- Experience in international, consulting, or scale-up environments is preferred.
