Responsibilities
- Build new Frontstage pages and scorecards using TypeScript and React.
- Extend the Watchtower TypeScript and PostgreSQL backend with new data sources and APIs.
- Develop features that help teams understand their services, including costs on the Kubernetes platform.
- Keep Frontstage current with new Backstage releases.
- Participate in requirements understanding, solution design, development, testing, release, and code review.
- Build iteratively with guidance from a mentor and the engineering team.
Requirements
- Be enrolled in a Dutch university through at least September 2027 for the full internship.
- Be located in Amsterdam or nearby and able to commute to the office at least twice per week.
- Be available for at least 32 hours per week.
- Have good TypeScript or JavaScript skills.
- Have some experience building web applications, such as with React or Node.js.
- Have basic knowledge of SQL and databases.
- Have solid Computer Science fundamentals.
- Be comfortable communicating in written and/or spoken English.
- Interest in building tools for engineers and eagerness to learn are expected.
- Experience with Backstage, Docker, GitHub Actions, Azure, AWS, or GCP is preferred.
