
Senior Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer

Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and performant backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
- Build and enhance Angular applications using TypeScript, NgRx, RxJS, and Nx, including shared libraries and modular micro frontend architecture.
- Develop and consume APIs in a distributed microservices environment with emphasis on reliability, maintainability, and testability.
- Implement structured logging, monitoring, and log aggregation using SLF4J, Log4j, Splunk, and ELK.
- Collaborate with DevOps engineers to define and optimize GitLab CI/CD build, test, and deployment workflows.
- Apply automated unit, integration, test-driven, and behavior-driven testing using JUnit, Mockito, Jasmine, Karma, Cypress, and Cucumber.
- Use SonarQube and Veracode to support code quality, security, and compliance.
- Optimize application performance, database interactions, service integrations, and data integrity across Oracle and relational databases.
- Contribute to MBS initiatives including pool-level data processing, cashflow modeling, investor reporting, and REMIC structures.
- Translate financial domain requirements into software solutions with product managers, analysts, and QA engineers.
- Mentor junior team members and stay current with emerging technologies and engineering practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 9–11 years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer or Software Developer.
- Strong backend development experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data.
- Frontend development experience with Angular 16+, TypeScript, NgRx, and RxJS.
- Experience building or consuming APIs in microservices architectures.
- Experience with Nx-based Angular micro frontend architectures is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with backend and frontend testing frameworks including JUnit, Mockito, Jasmine, Karma, Cypress, and Cucumber.
- Strong command of Git and GitLab workflows, including merge requests and CI/CD integration.
- Experience with SLF4J, Log4j, log aggregation, Oracle, SQL-based data access, schema design, and data integrity strategies.
- Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD principles using GitLab CI, Docker, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Knowledge of financial markets, especially Mortgage-Backed Securities, including securitization workflows, pooling, tranche structures, and reporting mechanisms.
- Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, RDS, and CodePipeline is a plus.
- Exposure to SonarQube, Veracode, or Fortify is useful.
- Experience with feature flags, blue-green deployments, observability tooling, Agile/Scrum environments, JIRA, Confluence, and Slack.
- Prior finance experience, particularly with Mortgage-Backed Securities, is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills.
