Responsibilities
- Apply quantitative reasoning and software engineering skills to investment research and trading.
- Translate business and research requirements into scalable, maintainable data-processing workflows.
- Design and implement efficient workflows for alpha generation with quantitative researchers.
- Contribute to data-driven analytics and tooling across multiple asset classes.
- Develop, extend, and maintain libraries, tools, and frameworks used globally by researchers and traders.
- Collaborate with peers across global Investment and Technology departments.
- Gradually take ownership of technical components and contribute commercially impactful ideas and solutions.
Requirements
- A degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or Computer Science is required.
- Proficiency in at least one core language: Python, C++, or KDB+/q.
- Prior software development exposure through commercial, academic, research, internship, personal, or project experience.
- Familiarity with Linux and version control systems such as git.
- Demonstrable experience using AI tools and systems collaboratively to improve software development, data analysis, or research workflows.
- Strong written and verbal communication, curiosity, motivation to learn, and collaborative working ability are required.
- Proficiency in more than one core programming language is preferred.
- Exposure to quantitative finance, trading, financial markets, or financial services is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with git and Linux in team-based or academic projects is preferred.
