Responsibilities
- Design and build future-proof solutions while considering system-wide impacts.
- Own significant features from conception and architectural design through implementation, testing, release, and deployment.
- Work with senior engineers to estimate, plan, track, and manage progress, risks, and dependencies.
- Gather and refine requirements and release software in a timely manner.
- Work with technical support to identify, reproduce, and remediate bug tickets.
- Build and deliver features using agentic tooling, including custom skills, agents, and harnesses.
- Contribute prompts, skills, and workflow improvements to the AI-enabled developer experience.
- Perform other duties required by management.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on commercial experience programming on the .NET platform using C#, including ASP.NET MVC.
- A BSc or MSc in Computer Science or a related qualification, or commercial experience developing in C#, Java, or another object-oriented programming language.
- Experience with design patterns, refactoring, object-oriented design, and related practices.
- Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants and agentic engineering workflows, with ownership of architecture, review, and quality.
- Experience building web services using Web API and understanding of database design and development.
- Hands-on experience with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and jQuery.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Experience with source control tools such as TFS, SVN, or Git.
- Legal right to work in the UK.
- Strong attention to detail, work ethic, analytical and problem-solving skills, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Desirable experience with Azure Functions, queues, custom agent skills, harnesses, MCP servers, prompt libraries, AI code evaluations, guardrails, review practices, testing methodologies, Lean software development, CI/CD systems, Bootstrap, .NET Core, Entity Framework Code First migrations, Claude or Claude Code, and financial services.
