Base Salary

$176k - $260k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, debug, and maintain secure, high-quality production software.
  • Provide technical guidance to engineering teams, contractors, and vendors.
  • Drive decisions affecting product design, application functionality, technical operations, and engineering processes.
  • Serve as a function-wide subject-matter expert and contribute to the engineering community.
  • Lead adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices, including code review, refactoring, test acceleration, release readiness, and incident analysis.
  • Establish validation standards for AI-generated outputs covering correctness, performance, security, peer review, and automated testing.
  • Promote reusable engineering patterns and automation across the software development lifecycle toolchain.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on software development experience in an object-oriented language such as Java, C++, or Python.
  • Depth of knowledge in at least three of four areas: AWS-based high-throughput low-latency microservices, near-real-time stream processing, caching systems, and large-volume data processing.
  • Experience with containers, container orchestration, and DAG orchestration systems.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle practices, application resiliency, security, and continuous integration and delivery.
  • Experience leading enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and validating their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security controls.
  • Experience coaching senior engineers or leads on compliant AI-assisted engineering practices.
  • Preferred experience with recommendation and personalization systems.
