Responsibilities
- Learn to develop software for Garmin communication, navigation, and GNSS/INS-based positioning products under supervision.
- Learn to test software using debuggers, emulators, simulators, and logic analyzers.
- Learn to perform software releases and software quality assurance activities.
- Support maintenance of production products and software design for new products.
- Integrate with, use, and provide feedback on products in development when possible.
Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a relevant field.
- Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 as a general rule; a GPA of at least 3.5 is preferred.
- Relevant experience or training in C, C++, C#, Java, or another high-level language relevant to Garmin’s business needs.
- Relevant experience or training in data structures or object-oriented design methodology.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Previous team-environment experience is preferred.
- Pursuit of a master’s degree in Geomatics, Aerospace, or Software Engineering is preferred.
