Responsibilities

  • Learn to develop software in C, C++, Assembly, or other selected languages for Garmin communication and navigation products under guidance.
  • Learn to test software using debuggers, emulators, simulators, and logic analyzers.
  • Learn to perform software releases and software quality assurance activities.
  • Learn to maintain products already in production and contribute to new product software design.
  • Integrate with, use, and provide feedback on products in development when possible.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 as a general rule.
  • Relevant experience or training in C, C++, C#, Java, or another high-level language.
  • Relevant experience or training in data structures or object-oriented design methodology.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Preferred: pursuing a master's degree in Geomatics, Aerospace, or Software Engineering; GPA of at least 3.5; and prior team-environment experience.
