Responsibilities
- Monitor production environments using Grafana, Prometheus, DataDog, and Azure Monitor.
- Respond to alerts, triage incidents, coordinate resolution, and participate in an on-call rotation.
- Automate environment builds, deployments, and operational tasks using Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Support cloud and infrastructure operations across Azure, AWS, and VMware, including Docker and Kubernetes workloads.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventative improvements to alerting, deployments, and monitoring.
- Maintain runbooks, document operational standards, and collaborate with SRE, Platform, Development, Support, and Services teams.
Requirements
- Experience operating production systems in cloud or hybrid environments such as Azure or AWS.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, containerization, Helm, and ingress controllers.
- Understanding of networking and infrastructure fundamentals including DNS, load balancing, VPNs, firewalls, and packet capture troubleshooting.
- Hands-on scripting or automation experience with PowerShell, Bash, Go, or Python.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
- Experience with monitoring and alerting solutions including Prometheus, Grafana, DataDog, Elastic, or Azure Monitor.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, incident-management, and cross-functional communication skills.
