Base Salary
$230k - $295k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and operate recurring analytics pipelines, including monitoring, alerting, and reliability improvements.
- Lead architectural evolution through schema standardization, DAG consolidation, and modernization of legacy workflows.
- Drive cross-team alignment when consolidating duplicated or inconsistent analytics outputs.
- Build and maintain analytics tables and metrics with disciplined schemas and reproducible computation.
- Define and implement reliability standards, observability patterns, SLOs, runbooks, and incident-response practices.
- Improve documentation, dataset discoverability, metadata, lineage, and data contracts.
- Optimize distributed compute, SQL queries, partitioning, file sizing, and columnar storage layouts.
- Mentor engineers through design reviews and improve operational and data-modeling rigor.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 3 years of experience building and operating analytics or data infrastructure systems.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Deep experience with distributed query engines and large-scale compute systems.
- Demonstrated ownership of large-scale or mission-critical data infrastructure.
- Strong data-modeling expertise, including schema design, partitioning strategy, and reproducibility.
- Expertise in metadata management, data lineage, and robust data-governance principles.
- Preferred experience leading architectural migrations or major data-platform refactors.
- Preferred familiarity with AWS cloud technologies and on-premise compute clusters such as Slurm, SSH, and Unix.
- Preferred exposure to quantitative research or machine-learning environments.
