Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, install, and support application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team.
- Analyze code and applications to identify system enhancements, vulnerabilities, and security issues.
- Conduct application testing and debugging and recommend programming solutions to users, clients, and technology groups.
- Identify problems, evaluate information, select solutions, and resolve issues using acquired technical experience and established precedents.
- Serve as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts and act as a subject-matter expert for stakeholders and team members.
- Operate with limited direct supervision while exercising independent judgment and adhering to applicable compliance and risk controls.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry.
- Strong experience with Java and microservices programming.
- Intermediate-level experience in an applications development role.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in requirements.
