Responsibilities
- Design and implement complex cloud infrastructure solutions for enterprise-scale workloads.
- Lead multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud implementations across multiple environments.
- Architect deployment and infrastructure provisioning pipelines and define infrastructure-as-code standards.
- Drive cloud platform, tooling, security, compliance, cost optimization, FinOps, networking, capacity planning, performance, monitoring, and observability initiatives.
- Administer AWS resources and identity management for cloud resources.
- Develop proof of concepts and lead adoption of cloud engineering best practices.
- Mentor engineers, lead technical reviews, and collaborate with Cloud Architects to translate designs into production.
- Provide advanced application support for configuration, triage, and enhancements in a 24x7 production environment.
- Create technical documentation and guide application teams toward self-diagnosis and self-reliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or 7+ years of equivalent experience.
- 5-8 years of professional cloud engineering experience.
- Experience supporting enterprise technology in a production 24x7 environment and delivering complex cloud infrastructure.
- Experience leading multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud implementations.
- Advanced infrastructure-as-code skills and strong deployment pipeline design experience.
- Deep expertise in cloud platform services and AWS infrastructure services and concepts.
- Expertise with Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes, or Docker Swarm; AWS EKS experience is highly preferred.
- Extensive Linux/Unix administration and troubleshooting experience with Bash or Python scripting.
- Windows Server administration and troubleshooting experience with PowerShell scripting.
- Expert networking, hybrid connectivity, cloud security, compliance, cost management, FinOps, container orchestration, and cloud-native technology experience.
- Strong mentoring, leadership, technical communication, presentation, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred qualifications include large-scale distributed cloud infrastructure, advanced cloud certifications, disaster recovery and business continuity, cloud governance frameworks, and regulated-industry experience.
