Base Salary
$276k - $311k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop real-time embedded firmware and embedded Linux software for security controls.
- Contribute to technical requirements, system architecture, interface designs, implementation guides, and test plans.
- Partner with the Security team and developers across Wayve to identify vehicle-fleet security issues and promote secure software architectures.
- Build, deploy, and maintain security tools, libraries, controls, and instrumentation.
- Perform code and design reviews to identify and help remediate security flaws.
Requirements
- Proven experience designing and delivering software security systems for internet-connected embedded devices.
- Experience incorporating hardware-based security techniques such as Hardware Security Modules, TrustZone, and Secure Boot into hardware/software systems.
- Strong knowledge of cryptography fundamentals and Public Key Infrastructure.
- Extensive experience producing and refining technical specifications from system architecture through low-level implementation and testing documentation.
- System-level kernel or bootloader software development experience.
- Significant experience with at least one of Python, C++, C, or Go.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with developers, non-engineering stakeholders, and leadership.
- Experience with QNX or similar real-time operating systems is desirable.
- Experience with Azure, GCP, containers, secrets management systems, cryptography, threat modeling systems, or related security topics is desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or a similar field is desirable.
- Contributions to the security community through open source, research, presentations, or blog posts are desirable.
