Base Salary
$121k - $171k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and lead development of scalable, high-performance applications for Citi’s Insight regulatory reporting framework.
- Design and implement Java, Spring Boot, SQL, real-time messaging, and Big Data solutions for large-scale data processing.
- Build and optimize data pipelines and analytical workflows supporting regulatory reporting.
- Define and enforce standards for coding, testing, debugging, deployment, and application design.
- Collaborate with architecture, infrastructure, business, and management teams to deliver system enhancements and new product capabilities.
- Evaluate complex business and system processes and resolve high-impact technical problems through innovative engineering solutions.
- Provide technical direction, mentor mid-level developers and analysts, and allocate work as necessary.
- Assess engineering risks and ensure compliance, data integrity, and regulatory adherence.
Requirements
- 6+ years of hands-on software development experience focused on backend engineering and enterprise-scale systems.
- Deep expertise in Java and Spring Boot, with advanced SQL knowledge and experience with real-time messaging technologies.
- Experience building and delivering microservices-based architectures in production.
- Proven technical leadership, people management, mentoring, and work-allocation experience.
- Ability to design software architecture and perform trade-off analysis across complex technical environments.
- Proficiency with a modern JavaScript framework such as Angular and ability to contribute across the full stack is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts to engineering and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; master’s degree preferred.
