Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain online systems in the Snowdrop engine for multiplayer features and live services.
- Integrate networking, matchmaking, session management, and backend services with game teams.
- Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of online features across platforms.
- Collaborate with Ubisoft teams to extend Snowdrop’s online capabilities.
- Contribute to the architecture and design of new online features and tools.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in C++ and experience with network programming.
- Familiarity with multiplayer game architecture, including client-server and peer-to-peer models.
- Experience with online service APIs such as REST, WebSocket, and gRPC.
- Knowledge of network debugging tools and performance profiling.
- Understanding of online-game security practices, including anti-cheat and data validation.
- Experience with console and PC platforms, including bandwidth and latency constraints.
- Fluent in English and able to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
