Base Salary
$466k - $750k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement AI Platform products, SDKs, developer frameworks, and internal tooling for ML researchers, ML engineers, and data scientists.
- Support the full machine learning lifecycle from data and features through training, experimentation, evaluation, and production deployment.
- Gather requirements and feedback from Netflix’s ML community, identify pain points, and evolve platform capabilities.
- Build and work with scalable distributed applications and modern large-scale machine learning services.
- Collaborate with applied researchers, data scientists, and cross-functional teams on real-world ML use cases.
Requirements
- 5+ years of full-time software engineering or machine learning experience with a bachelor’s and master’s degree, or a PhD degree.
- Excellent software design and development skills in Python and one of Scala, Java, or C++.
- Experience developing platform solutions such as SDKs, developer frameworks, or internal tooling for ML users.
- Experience working on or alongside large-scale ML services and understanding the full ML lifecycle.
- Familiarity with ML workflow orchestration, experiment tracking, or feature and data infrastructure, such as Metaflow, Airflow, Kubeflow, or MLflow.
- Broad understanding of core machine learning concepts and their use in large-scale systems.
- Preferred experience includes building ML models or LLMs, designing agentic systems, working with public clouds such as AWS, and contributing significantly to open-source projects.
