Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain reusable software components, web applications, APIs, and serverless infrastructure.
- Develop React front ends and Node.js/TypeScript back ends for programming, playout, content-delivery, and digital media products.
- Build product features and enhancements ranging from intermediate to highly complex scope.
- Translate business and customer requirements into technical designs and component specifications with architects.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software, hardware, edge-device, and field-deployment issues.
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Estimate level of effort, contribute to feature and system-change planning, and help mitigate technical risks.
- Use monitoring, alerting, and dashboards to assess system health and prevent issues.
- Profile and tune applications for CPU and memory efficiency.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in front-end, back-end, or full-stack web development.
- Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript and Node.js and experience building user interfaces with React.
- Experience with AWS serverless architectures, infrastructure as code, deployment automation, databases, event-driven integrations, and monitoring.
- Experience with MongoDB and at least one relational database such as Postgres or MySQL.
- Experience with end-to-end and user acceptance testing in an Agile context and QA methodologies.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, application profiling, and performance-tuning skills.
- A track record of writing maintainable, extensible, future-proof code.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical thinking, resourcefulness, independent judgment, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Python experience for data science or AI/ML workloads is preferred.
- Experience with audio/media files and streams and code running on edge or field-deployed devices is preferred.
