Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and optimize enterprise analytics platforms supporting Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Essbase, and self-service data products.
- Lead the design and continuous improvement of scalable cloud-centric data lakes, data warehouses, AI/ML workloads, and agentic solutions using infrastructure as code.
- Automate provisioning, configuration, governance, and lifecycle management for AWS, Databricks, Denodo, Datadog, and related platform services.
- Build and maintain CI/CD, MLOps, automated testing, release governance, infrastructure automation, and environment-management processes.
- Support large-scale data engineering solutions using Apache Spark, Scala, Python, Databricks, and modern ELT/ETL technologies.
- Establish platform architecture, engineering standards, governance frameworks, AI accelerators, and technology roadmaps.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship while promoting reusable platform patterns, automation-first engineering, and cloud-native architectures.
- Implement cloud security controls, platform health checks, monitoring, alerting, resiliency, data-quality validation, performance tuning, cost observability, documentation, and runbooks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or at least seven years of relevant professional experience.
- At least seven years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise data, analytics, cloud, and AI platforms across AWS, Linux, and Windows environments.
- Hands-on experience with administration, observability, monitoring, log management, alerting, and integration platforms including Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, and Datadog.
- Strong expertise in infrastructure as code, cloud automation, and platform engineering using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, CDK, or similar technologies.
- Experience developing scalable data engineering, analytics, AI/ML, GenAI, and agentic AI solutions using Python, SQL, Spark, Scala, Databricks, and modern ELT/ETL frameworks.
- Knowledge of DevOps, DataOps, MLOps, CI/CD, automated testing, release management, and environment automation using GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible, Chef, or equivalent platforms.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills, including architecture definition, engineering mentorship, and cross-functional collaboration.
- AWS or Databricks certifications are a bonus.
- Experience with enterprise data-platform administration, observability, FinOps, or Site Reliability Engineering practices is a bonus.
- Experience developing APIs or full-stack capabilities using React, Node.js, or related technologies is a bonus.
- Working knowledge of cloud security, IAM, encryption, resiliency, AI governance, model monitoring, compliance, performance optimization, and FinOps cost management is a bonus.
