Software Engineer III (React/Java)
JPMorgan ChaseResponsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and deliver secure, high-quality software solutions across multiple technical areas.
- Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure implementation meets design constraints.
- Build backend services, GraphQL and REST APIs, React interfaces, Module Federation micro-frontends, and Hugo-based content pipelines.
- Implement integrations with Jira, Bitbucket, GitHub, and notification and delivery workflows.
- Develop Lucene-based search, documentation hosting, and content authoring workflows for go/blogs and go/engineers.
- Use authorized AI-assisted development tools while validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Analyze large and diverse datasets and create visualizations and reporting to improve software applications, coding practices, and system architecture.
- Participate in software engineering communities of practice and events exploring emerging technologies.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Practical experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Go.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining software in a large corporate environment, including database query languages.
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- Knowledge of software applications and technical processes in a discipline such as cloud, AI/ML, or mobile.
- Familiarity with React.js, AWS services, GraphQL and REST APIs, Hugo, Lucene, or Module Federation is preferred.
- Familiarity with responsible AI-assisted development tools and exposure to RSS/email delivery channels or MCP channels is preferred.
