Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test software to specifications.
- Build new application systems through modernization and integration of existing legacy systems.
- Support production systems, including 24/7 on-call support.
- Consult with the Systems Architect and Business Systems Analyst.
- Participate in project planning.
- Conduct code reviews and provide feedback on software development best practices.
- Contribute to analysis, design, development, testing, documentation, implementation, and migration of legacy applications.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a software developer role and/or equivalent computer science education.
- Proven expertise with Java, Eclipse IDE, web services, client-server environments, and code versioning tools such as Git.
- Experience with JSP, JavaScript, SQL, JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, ServiceNow, and IBM WebSphere is an asset.
- Ability to understand and work effectively with legacy technologies and evolving application platforms.
- Knowledge of software design, methodologies, documentation standards, and current IT industry trends.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, adaptability, and teamwork skills.
- Reliability Status Security Clearance is required as a condition of employment before accessing Protected B information, assets, or work sites.
