Responsibilities

  • Configure case management software, including forms, searches, workflows, and business rules, using Groovy and Velocity.
  • Gather requirements for data conversions, documents, and reports, and support development, testing, and review.
  • Conduct client training and provide onsite go-live assistance.
  • Troubleshoot technical and procedural issues and escalate blockers appropriately.
  • Deliver contracted products and services such as reports, business rules, and general software configuration.
  • Represent Journal Technologies with customers and coordinate implementation activities.
  • Manage assigned work and status updates in Jira while collaborating within a Scrum team.
  • Travel to client sites as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 1 year of professional experience querying relational databases, preferably with T-SQL or PL/SQL.
  • Implementation Specialist experience or comparable software implementation experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of several of Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle, JasperReports or Crystal Reports, SSRS, Java, Groovy, and Velocity.
  • Familiarity with web technologies, operating systems, Windows Server environments, and REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Ability to learn complex software concepts, follow procedures, troubleshoot problems, escalate issues, manage priorities, and communicate effectively.
  • Strong client service, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working within Agile teams or formal Scrum or Agile training is an asset.
  • Court or justice-industry knowledge is preferred.
