Responsibilities
- Enable new SerDes and optical technologies.
- Implement firmware functionality in product signal-processing units.
- Define, implement, and maintain firmware algorithms that control silicon.
- Develop and test firmware in pre-silicon emulation and simulation environments.
- Debug and triage hardware, firmware, and software issues.
- Participate in silicon bring-up and software development phases.
- Lead data-driven discussions about product functionality and improvement areas.
- Collaborate with architecture, hardware, software, and chip-design teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in C programming.
- Experience debugging and investigating difficult embedded-firmware problems.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across countries.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
- Preferred: proficiency in Python and MATLAB, understanding of SerDes operation, experience developing communication-protocol physical layers, and knowledge of hardware/software development processes.
