Base Salary
$210k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve Glean's REST API standards including versioning and deprecation policy.
- Design and ship new API endpoints for Glean's platform primitives.
- Build the API gateway layer for routing, authentication, and usage metering.
- Define reusable platform primitives for internal and external use.
- Work across backend services, developer tools, and documentation.
- Design and evolve SDKs and client libraries for developer integration.
- Instrument API usage to track metrics and performance.
- Champion the external developer perspective in the roadmap process.
Requirements
- BA/BS in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with public-facing APIs.
- Deep fluency in REST API design principles.
- Proficiency in at least one modern backend language, ideally Golang.
- Ability to thrive in a customer-focused, cross-functional environment.
- Proactive attitude to lead, learn, and take ownership of tasks.
