Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain automated tests using modern development techniques.
  • Apply automated testing at every layer of the application stack inside and outside the continuous delivery pipeline.
  • Produce and analyze quality metrics to guide quality engineering decisions.
  • Triage test failures and maintain the health of the build pipeline.
  • Collaborate with development, product, operations, and support teams to embed quality throughout the software lifecycle.
  • Participate in code reviews for product, test, and infrastructure code.
  • Validate new features, investigate issues, improve test coverage, and support product stability, performance, usability, and accessibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative field, or an equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience writing software applications, testing software, and/or general programming.
  • Fluency in software test development techniques, standards, and procedures.
  • Ability to distinguish between testing layers and design effective quality gates.
  • Expertise in at least one test automation framework and ability to create shareable code.
  • Proficiency with source control management, including branching, code review, and merging.
  • Proficiency building and maintaining CI/CD solutions.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD infrastructure, platform configuration, integration, and secret management.
  • Experience with GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with generative AI technologies.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, including mentoring younger team members.
