Responsibilities
- Design, write, and maintain Customer Observability code and features.
- Contribute to and lead medium-sized technical projects through production.
- Work with customers and support engineers to resolve issues and participate in the on-call rotation.
- Collaborate with engineers to improve coding best practices and operational systems.
- Contribute to technical discussions and solve engineering challenges.
- Develop tools for metrics collection, slow-query monitoring, and database performance insights.
Requirements
- Backend engineering experience with a willingness to take on frontend tasks, or full-stack experience with a backend bias.
- Experience writing backend systems in a compiled language such as Java, C#, or Go.
- Experience designing and architecting modern, scalable web applications.
- Familiarity with debugging and troubleshooting production issues.
- Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and time and space complexity.
- Preferred experience developing code observability tools.
- Preferred experience with TypeScript, React, and Node.js, particularly maintaining an ecosystem of dependencies.
- Preferred knowledge of database internals, tuning mechanisms, and indexing.
