Base Salary
$165k - $227k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build reusable, accessible, well-tested React and TypeScript components and related tooling.
- Develop and ship UI features for Zuora’s customer-facing applications.
- Own features end to end and use AI-assisted development workflows to deliver high-quality UI.
- Evolve the design system, including tokens, theming, documentation, versioning, and adoption.
- Partner with Design and product teams on accessible, pixel-accurate implementations and shared-component adoption.
- Review code and uphold quality, performance, and accessibility standards.
- Improve developer experience through Storybook documentation, automated and visual regression testing, and release tooling.
- Build and maintain reusable AI-assisted development workflows, skills, agents, and automation.
- Mentor engineers and share knowledge across a globally distributed team.
Requirements
- 6–10 years of professional software engineering experience, primarily in frontend development.
- Expert-level React and TypeScript skills with strong HTML, CSS, and WCAG accessibility fundamentals.
- Experience building reusable, themeable component libraries with Material UI or a comparable library.
- Experience with Storybook and automated unit and visual regression testing.
- Working knowledge of design-system practices including tokens, theming, documentation, and backward compatibility.
- Hands-on experience with AI coding tools such as Cursor or Claude Code and AI-assisted development workflows.
- Experience with Git-based workflows, CI/CD, and package publishing.
- Strong written and verbal communication and the ability to collaborate across functions and time zones.
- Preferred experience includes AI developer tooling, Web Components, micro-frontends, embeddable widgets, enterprise SaaS, billing or financial systems, AI-powered user interfaces, open-source contributions, internal tooling, or technical writing.
