Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain reusable platform foundations, services, and integration capabilities.
- Build scalable backend services and APIs using Java, TypeScript, Go, or .NET.
- Develop shared user-interface capabilities and healthcare applications using React and Next.js.
- Build integrations with healthcare systems, APIs, and data sources using reusable interoperability patterns.
- Deploy and operate healthcare solutions on Google Cloud Platform using established cloud and infrastructure patterns.
- Automate delivery with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment tooling.
- Support secure movement, validation, monitoring, and use of healthcare data in collaboration with data engineers.
- Develop platform management and support tooling, including quality monitoring, audit logs, and application telemetry.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, reliability improvements, and follow-up actions to support service-level objectives.
- Provide technical input to the platform roadmap and collaborate with product, engineering, solutions, implementation, and support teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant information technology field or a minimum of seven years of direct full-stack engineering experience with increasing complexity.
- Three to five years of experience working in diverse software development environments using Agile principles.
- Proven full-stack engineering experience with a strong emphasis on healthcare interoperability.
- Proficiency in Java and/or .NET for backend development, including API and service design and implementation.
- Expertise in JavaScript, React, and React frameworks such as Next.js for responsive frontend applications.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform or equivalent cloud services and cloud-native application development.
- Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards including HL7, FHIR, and OMOP.
- Experience with healthcare solutions integration and delivery.
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
- Knowledge of healthcare data security and compliance requirements, including HIPAA, is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, communication, and stakeholder-communication skills.
