Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot platform issues, advise engineering teams, and participate in the regional support rotation.
- Monitor and triage alerts, participate in the follow-the-sun on-call model, lead incidents and debugging, and complete blameless post-mortems and follow-up actions.
- Own the production delivery path from GitHub Actions through Argo CD and Helm across multiple clusters and regions.
- Operate high-traffic edge and API gateway infrastructure serving hundreds of millions of requests per day.
- Run internal production tooling including Grafana, Sentry, Teleport, Metabase, and Atlantis.
- Build self-service platform capabilities and golden paths under a Platform-as-a-Product model.
- Deliver multi-quarter platform improvement projects from problem definition through production operation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, platform/infrastructure, or SRE roles operating large-scale, highly available, high-performance production systems.
- Experience owning multi-quarter platform work in complex environments with multiple Kubernetes clusters.
- Deep production Kubernetes experience, including upgrades, debugging, operational ownership, Helm packaging, and workload deployment.
- Strong Terraform infrastructure-as-code skills across multiple environments, with GitOps and least-privilege practices.
- Experience building and owning CI/CD pipelines at scale, including GitHub Actions deployments to multiple production locations.
- Experience with Argo CD or a comparable GitOps continuous-delivery tool.
- Production experience operating Google Cloud, ideally GKE.
- Solid L7 networking fundamentals covering load balancing, DNS, TLS, HTTP routing, and request-path debugging.
- Experience treating internal platforms as products with real users and building self-service capabilities.
- Willingness to participate in follow-the-sun on-call coverage from APAC or EMEA hours and work effectively in a distributed, asynchronous team.
- Preferred experience with OPA, Conftest, Checkov, tflint, Atlantis, HashiCorp Vault, OpenBao, Backstage, Tilt, Azure, Go, Linux, Debian, Ubuntu, Docker, containerd, internal PKI, mTLS, SOC 2, audit logging, or regulated fintech.
