Responsibilities
- Design and prototype real-time embedded systems using commercial and custom platforms.
- Develop communication, sensor, navigation, and signal-processing systems using processors, FPGA/SoC technology, and software-defined radio platforms.
- Create advanced architectures for high-throughput signal processing and highly integrated SWaP-C platforms.
- Implement, test, document, and debug embedded software and hardware/software interfaces.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary engineering teams on applied research projects supporting government sponsors.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and at least 2 years of related experience, or an advanced degree with relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- High proficiency in C and/or C++.
- Strong understanding of embedded systems, hardware/software interaction, low-level processor architectures, operating system concepts, and hardware interfacing.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret clearance, requiring U.S. citizenship.
- Ability to support onsite project work in laboratories and classified facilities, with a minimum of four days per week onsite in Bedford, Massachusetts.
- Preferred qualifications include an M.S., active Secret clearance, Python, MATLAB, or Perl experience, object-oriented programming, reconfigurable SoC experience, Git, Make, CMake, real-time operating systems, POSIX, embedded Linux, hardware/software debugging, DSP, networking protocols, and VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog.
