Responsibilities
- Validate SAP Cloud Infrastructure delivery and deployment automation in sovereign and private cloud environments.
- Identify automation gaps, deployment inconsistencies, and information gaps and resolve them with SCI development teams.
- Operate and validate Kubernetes-based container orchestration platforms, networking systems, and storage solutions.
- Design, operate, and evolve scalable Kubernetes platforms, including multi-cluster operations, upgrades, scaling, and monitoring.
- Build and improve infrastructure-as-code, deployment automation, and operational resilience workflows.
- Diagnose and resolve complex distributed-system issues using metrics and tracing tools.
- Lead cross-functional infrastructure initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and promote engineering best practices.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in DevOps or infrastructure roles.
- Deep hands-on experience operating Kubernetes clusters and managing workloads, upgrades, ingress, service meshes, and cert-manager.
- Expert-level knowledge of OpenStack, multi-cloud environments, advanced container orchestration, and multi-cluster federation.
- Advanced experience with AWS, Azure, and GCP and Kubernetes platform management at scale.
- Experience with Terraform or Ansible and end-to-end deployment pipelines.
- Proficiency in Go, Python, Bash, or other scripting languages for complex automation workflows.
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, performance tuning, incident response, and operational resilience automation.
- Proven ability to lead teams, drive infrastructure initiatives, mentor engineers, and solve challenging technical problems.
- CKA, CKAD, or CKS certification is a strong plus.
- Fluency in written and spoken German and English.
- Depending on project assignment, eligibility for security clearance under German law may be required.
