Responsibilities
- Validate SAP Cloud Infrastructure delivery and deployment automation in sovereign and private cloud environments.
- Identify and resolve automation gaps, deployment inconsistencies, and information gaps in collaboration with development teams.
- Operate and validate Kubernetes clusters, container orchestration platforms, networking systems, storage solutions, and multi-cluster environments.
- Design, improve, and verify robust, error-tolerant infrastructure automation and deployment procedures.
- Diagnose distributed-system issues using metrics and tracing, and contribute to performance tuning, incident response, and operational resilience.
- Lead infrastructure initiatives, collaborate across teams, mentor junior engineers, and promote engineering best practices.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in DevOps or infrastructure roles, including designing, operating, and evolving Kubernetes-based platforms at scale.
- Deep hands-on Kubernetes experience covering clusters, workloads, upgrades, ingress, service meshes, cert-manager, multi-cluster operations, and federation.
- Expert-level knowledge of OpenStack and multi-cloud environments; mastery of AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Experience with Terraform or Ansible and designing end-to-end CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in Go, Python, Bash, or other languages for complex automation workflows.
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki, plus performance tuning, incident response, and operational resilience automation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and infrastructure initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and drive adoption of best practices.
- Strong analytical and complex technical problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in written and spoken German and English.
- CKA, CKAD, or CKS certification is a strong plus.
- May need eligibility for security clearance under German law depending on project assignment.
