Base Salary

$144k - $216k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop custom tools and software for embedded and telecommunications systems.
  • Develop vulnerability-based proofs of concept and transition them into robust, maintainable codebases.
  • Analyze firmware, software protections, operating system internals, and wireless protocols to identify exploitable security flaws.
  • Conduct reverse engineering and vulnerability research against Linux-based and embedded systems.
  • Analyze and manipulate software and firmware binaries using custom tools.
  • Develop capabilities leveraging novel telecommunications access mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with reverse engineers, vulnerability researchers, developers, hardware engineers, transition partners, and mission stakeholders.
  • Solve complex technical challenges and contribute to technical discussions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience in security research, reverse engineering, vulnerability research, or exploit development.
  • At least 5 years of experience designing or prototyping applications using software development processes.
  • At least 2 years of experience with Python, C, or C++.
  • At least 2 years of experience with operating system internals, including privilege models, user groups, and binary memory layout.
  • At least 2 years of experience with network socket programming and expert packet-level understanding of IP, TCP, and related application-level protocols.
  • At least 2 years of experience reverse engineering x86/ARM binaries or embedded systems.
  • Experience tracing code execution with WinDbg, GDB, or an equivalent debugger.
  • Expertise in firmware analysis, fuzzing and exploit development, wireless protocols, file system forensics, fault injection frameworks, Binary Ninja, or Ghidra.
  • Active U.S. Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI access.
  • Preferred qualifications include complex application vulnerability analysis, memory protection mechanisms, CI/CD pipelines, virtualized test ranges, firmware or driver development, memory management, telecommunications systems, 5G, and a graduate degree.
