Base Salary
$141k - $249k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build standardized distributed training frameworks for research and production.
- Improve training stability, efficiency, and resource utilization.
- Profile model runtime and memory to identify CPU and GPU performance bottlenecks.
- Evaluate and integrate technologies such as custom CUDA kernels, quantization-aware training and inference, and compilation and deployment techniques.
- Collaborate with researchers and ML engineers on resource-usage best practices.
- Create and improve tooling and dashboards to drive adoption of the training improvements.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a similar technical field with at least 4 years of industry experience, or an MS/PhD in a similar field.
- Strong coding proficiency in Python, C++, or Rust.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or Jax.
- Experience profiling CPU and GPU code using tools such as PyTorch Profiler and NVIDIA Nsight.
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to help others.
- Passion for self-driving technologies and solving difficult technical problems.
