Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deliver software solutions for John Deere’s Ecommerce team.
- Develop customer-facing ecommerce experiences using frontend and backend technologies.
- Learn and apply modern technologies, technical practices, DevOps, and software engineering skills.
- Work onsite in Chicago approximately 10–20 hours per week during the academic year and 30–40 hours per week during the summer.
Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or another applicable field.
- Must be registered as a full-time student at an accredited university.
- Frontend development exposure with React.js, TypeScript or JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Micro Frontends; Module Federation is preferred.
- Backend development exposure with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices architecture, and Postgres.
- Expected graduation in Spring 2027 or later.
- Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above.
- Must be available to commute to a John Deere work location in Chicago year-round.
- Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
- Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn new technologies and strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills are preferred.
