Responsibilities
- Design and implement the Bridge security roadmap from first principles through production.
- Identify and address the most important security risks pragmatically.
- Integrate Bridge with Stripe infrastructure and develop custom security solutions where needed.
- Lead threat modeling and hardening for Bridge money movement systems with crypto and infrastructure teams.
- Build monitoring, secrets management, incident response, access control, and CI/CD hardening capabilities.
- Strengthen secure development and infrastructure practices.
- Support compliance and audit expectations as Bridge expands into regulated markets.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and Stripe security teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years of security engineering experience.
- Experience building or scaling security programs at a startup or in an embedded role.
- Experience in fast-paced startup environments and building security practices from the ground up is preferred.
- Ruby experience and comfort writing and debugging backend application code are preferred.
- Ability to prioritize critical problems, work through ambiguity, balance security rigor with speed, and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Interest in crypto and stablecoins as financial infrastructure is preferred.
