Responsibilities
- Identify and solve critical architectural bottlenecks limiting the engineering organization.
- Drive foundational platform initiatives from design through deployment.
- Define architectural direction for major platform capabilities and lead multi-quarter initiatives.
- Design APIs, abstractions, and system architecture that expose computational capabilities effectively.
- Improve software quality and engineering velocity across the organization.
- Serve as a technical escalation point and build consensus through technical credibility and clarity.
- Mentor engineers and elevate team capabilities.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with increasing scope and demonstrated impact across multiple teams.
- Deep expertise in platforms and infrastructure, including APIs, abstractions, system architecture, and performance at scale.
- Track record of improving software quality and engineering velocity, not only building features.
- Ability to lead without authority and build consensus through technical credibility and clarity.
- Experience mentoring engineers and elevating team capabilities.
