Responsibilities
- Build and enhance system-level software features for tvOS, Apple TV, and HomePod.
- Own significant features from proposal through implementation and presentation.
- Collaborate with Design, Frameworks, media playback, Core OS, engineers, program managers, and stakeholders.
- Debug and optimize code for performance, including memory issues and main-thread hangs.
- Analyze large features and implement practical, full-product solutions.
- Develop responsive user interfaces and end-user experiences for Apple platforms.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience with an object-oriented programming language in a highly scalable environment.
- Excellent Swift experience.
- Strong experience building UI and end-user experiences for Apple platforms.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly with cross-functional teams.
- Experience debugging and optimizing code for performance.
- Ability to independently learn new technologies and solve complex problems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Preferred experience with Objective-C, APIs, frameworks, and SDKs.
- Preferred experience maintaining large codebases with many contributors.
- Preferred experience with cross-process communication technologies, networking, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.
- Preferred experience optimizing performance in UIKit and SwiftUI.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
- Familiarity with AI coding tools and applications is preferred.
