Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based and hybrid infrastructure in AWS.
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, or similar frameworks.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes or related technologies.
- Develop custom software components and integrate open-source solutions.
- Apply software engineering practices across build, deployment, and operations lifecycles.
- Build secure, automated, and repeatable pipelines with tools such as GitLab CI/CD or Jenkins.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across cloud, network, and platform layers.
- Participate in Agile development and process improvement initiatives focused on reliability, maintainability, and performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in Platform Engineering or Software Development using Python, Go, or similar languages.
- Experience developing and deploying infrastructure in AWS.
- Proficiency with Linux systems administration, networking, and Bash or shell scripting.
- Experience with Kubernetes or related container orchestration technologies.
- Familiarity with Ansible, Puppet, or similar configuration management tools.
- US citizenship and an active Secret clearance; Top Secret, TS/SCI, or TS/SCI with CI Polygraph are also accepted.
- Ability to obtain Security+ certification within 60 days of hire.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred experience with CI/CD tools, automated build pipelines, Agile tools, virtualization or storage platforms, Big Data ecosystems, and DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification or equivalent.
