Base Salary
$120k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build data-driven and model-driven software features for customer marketing campaigns.
- Scale distributed applications and infrastructure for the Buyercloud ad-serving platform.
- Optimize algorithms and software architectures for performance and cloud cost efficiency.
- Extend observability systems to capture and alert on service issues.
- Participate in on-call rotations and serve as an escalation contact for incidents.
- Write system documentation, playbooks, and instructional manuals.
- Collaborate with team members across remote locations and time zones.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3 years of software engineering experience.
- Significant experience with compiled languages such as C++, Java, Rust, and Go.
- Deep understanding of building systems at scale.
- Experience with performance optimization, scaling, and data modeling.
- Strong understanding of software architecture.
- Experience working in a Linux ecosystem.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and variable schedules as needed.
