Responsibilities
- Engage customers to understand their data and information management environments.
- Design, implement, and remediate solutions for modern data protection, multi-cloud, archive and compliance, ransomware and disaster recovery, and operational improvement.
- Install and configure Commvault hardware and software according to design specifications.
- Assess customer technical readiness and prerequisites before project progression.
- Perform data migration from legacy backup infrastructure to new infrastructure.
- Install and configure backup agents for applications, databases, and hypervisors.
- Collaborate with customers, Commvault technical support, and development teams to resolve technical issues.
- Provide daily deployment progress and obstacle updates to the Project Manager.
- Complete project documentation, including User Acceptance Test Plans and As-Built Documentation.
- Collaborate with regional Technical Architects on global customer engagements and maintain customer satisfaction throughout projects.
Requirements
- Experience in Technical Support, Professional Services, Managed Services, or administration of enterprise backup and recovery software, including hands-on Commvault experience.
- Advanced Commvault Certification such as Solutions Architect, Engineer, or Master is preferred.
- Strong knowledge and experience with networking, storage, and the Linux operating system.
- Proficiency with TCP/IP networking and SCSI, iSCSI, or Fibre Channel.
- Commvault implementation and troubleshooting experience.
- Proficiency backing up and recovering Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and Teams.
- Proficiency backing up and recovering databases including Oracle, SAP/Oracle, and SAP HANA.
- Hands-on experience with object storage, data archive and search, private cloud, and public cloud environments.
- Proficiency with Linux scripting.
- Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
- Fluent Italian and English language skills.
- Must live within commutable distance to Rome.
